Dithering reduces color banding in gradients. Floyd-Steinberg gives the smoothest gradients and is recommended for most content. "None" gives sharper edges and slightly smaller files. "Ordered" gives a vintage film-grain look popular in artistic GIFs.

Enable Target Size, enter your desired maximum file size (e.g. 5 MB), then click "Auto". The tool will automatically calculate and apply the best combination of frame rate, quality, and width to stay under your target.

GIF size depends on duration, frame rate, dimensions, and colors. Use the Target Size feature to automatically optimize, or manually reduce FPS to 10-12, lower output width, or use fewer colors. You can also run the result through our GIF Compressor.
