How to download a GIF from a link

  1. Copy the link. Copy the address of the GIF, or of the Giphy, Tenor, Imgur, Reddit or X page it is on.
  2. Paste it and press Get GIF. Paste the link into the box. A preview appears with the file size, dimensions, frames and length.
  3. Choose how to save it. Keep the original GIF, or save it as MP4, WebP, PNG frames or just the first frame.
  4. Download. Press Download. The file goes straight to your device and appears in Recent downloads.

On a computer, right-click the GIF and choose Copy image address (Chrome, Edge) or Copy Image Link (Firefox, Safari). On a phone, press and hold the GIF and tap Copy image address or Copy link.

You can also paste the link of the whole page - the downloader looks for the GIF on it.

Yes. Choose Several GIFs, then Scan a webpage, and paste the page address. Every GIF found on the page appears as a thumbnail with its size.

X (Twitter) stores every GIF as a small MP4 video, and some Tenor and Imgur links point to the video version. The downloader shows what the site really has - choose GIF under Save as to turn it into an animated GIF.

For posts with several videos, the Twitter GIF Downloader lists every one.

Yes. After the preview, pick MP4, WebP, Frames (PNG) or Still (first frame) under Save as. MP4 is usually 5 to 10 times smaller than the GIF and is the best choice for Instagram and WhatsApp.

The GIF may be private, deleted or protected against downloads, or the site loads its GIFs with JavaScript after the page opens. Open the GIF on its own, copy its image address and paste that instead.
