Common Use Cases

Web Optimization

Check if your images are properly optimized for web. Analyze compression levels, dimensions and file sizes to ensure fast loading. Use our PNG compressor or JPG compressor to optimize further.

Photography Workflow

Extract EXIF data including camera model, lens info, exposure settings and GPS coordinates. Perfect for organizing photos or verifying authenticity.

Development & QA

Verify image specifications meet requirements. Check color profiles for print, confirm transparency support, or validate format compatibility before deployment.

Privacy & Security

Check what metadata is embedded in images before sharing. Remove sensitive location data or personal info using our analysis tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on the format, you can extract dimensions, file size, color depth, compression type, EXIF data (camera, date, GPS), color profiles, animation frames, and format-specific technical details. Our JPG Analyzer is particularly useful for photos with extensive EXIF data.

Yes! Our GIF Analyzer shows frame count, timing, loop settings and palette info. For animated WebP files, use the WEBP Analyzer. You can also use our GIF Frame Extractor to save individual frames.

Use our PNG Analyzer to check the color type. PNG-32 (RGBA) supports full transparency, PNG-8 can have palette-based transparency. The analyzer shows alpha channel presence and transparency type clearly.

Both are modern formats with excellent compression. WEBP (by Google) has broader browser support, while AVIF (AV1-based) offers better compression at similar quality. Our analyzers show compression efficiency for both formats. Convert between them using our WEBP to AVIF converter.

Our analyzers show what metadata exists. To remove it for privacy, you can use our image converters which strip metadata by default, or compress the image using our JPG or PNG compressor tools.

HEIC is Apple's default photo format on iPhones. Our HEIC Analyzer helps you understand these files before converting them to more compatible formats like JPG or PNG using our HEIC to JPG converter.
