How to Convert SVG to JPG

  1. Upload your SVG file by dragging it into the upload area or clicking to browse. Both .svg and .svgz files are accepted.
  2. Choose a background color - since SVG files often have transparent backgrounds and JPG doesn't support transparency, pick a color (default is white).
  3. Adjust quality and scale - set the JPEG compression quality and output scale. 2x is recommended for crisp results.
  4. Click "Convert to JPG" and download your converted image. Need a transparent background instead? Use SVG to PNG.

Frequently Asked Questions

SVG files are vector-based and not supported everywhere - some social media platforms, email clients, and older apps only accept JPG or PNG. Converting to JPG creates a universally compatible raster image. For web use, you might also consider SVG to PNG for transparency support or JPG to WebP for smaller file sizes.

JPG does not support transparency. When your SVG has a transparent background, the converter fills it with a solid color (white by default). You can change this using the background color picker in the settings.

SVGs are resolution-independent vectors. The scale setting determines the output pixel dimensions. At 2x scale, a 100x100 SVG produces a 200x200 JPG. Higher scales give sharper results for printing or high-DPI displays. You can also use the Image Resizer afterward for exact dimensions.

No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your SVG file never leaves your device. This also means it works offline once the page is loaded.

For most uses, 85-95% is ideal. Higher quality means larger file size. If you need to reduce the file size further, try our JPG compressor.
