Windows needs the HEIF and the paid HEVC extensions from the Microsoft Store, and many websites and programs do not read HEIC at all. Converting to BMP fixes that.
BMP stores raw pixels with no compression. A 4032 x 3024 photo needs about 36 MB. Use Resize to make it smaller.
BMP is uncompressed - expect a file 20-50 times bigger than the HEIC.
