JPG files are typically much smaller than PNG files, especially for photographs. This makes them ideal for websites (faster loading), email attachments (smaller size limits), and storage (saves disk space). If you don't need transparency, JPG is often the better choice.
JPG does not support transparency. When converting a PNG with transparent areas to JPG, those areas will be filled with a solid white background. If you need to preserve transparency, consider using WebP or keeping the PNG format.
