Open the Search GIPHY tab - it starts with the GIFs trending on GIPHY right now. Type a word, or tap a topic like Reactions, Happy birthday or Thank you.
Press Load more for the next results. After the first press, more appear as you scroll, up to 200, with related searches filling in and no GIF shown twice.
Tick the ones you like - the ticks stay while you scroll - and press Get selected for one ZIP. Then trim a pick with the GIF Cutter or shrink it with Compress GIF.
Save GIPHY GIFs as MP4 for WhatsApp or Instagram
For chats and social apps, the MP4 option is usually the better choice.
WhatsApp plays GIFs as short looping videos anyway, and an MP4 is often 3-5 times smaller than the same GIF. It is marked WhatsApp, Instagram in the list of formats.
Instagram does not accept .gif uploads, so post the MP4 instead. GIPHY Clips come as MP4 with sound, so the audio stays.

GIPHY GIFs for Discord: size limits
Discord limits uploads to 20 MB on free accounts.
Every format here shows its size, and anything over 20 MB gets a warning badge. The GIF - under 2 MB option is a safe pick, and a custom server emoji must be under 256 KB.

Stickers that still do not fit are marked and left out of the pack, so the app will not refuse it. For a sticker from your own GIF, try GIF to WebP or GIF to WebM.
