How to convert a Ugoira

  • Keep animation.json in the ZIP. It holds the timing of every frame - without it all frames get 100 ms.
  • Sharing on X or Discord? MP4 looks better and is often ten times smaller than GIF. Use Play 2x or 3x to make very short loops last longer.
  • GIF too big? Try 50% size or 128 colours - most Ugoira still look great.
