Barcode Label Generator

Print barcode labels on standard Avery sheets - one label or a thousand.

Make a numbered series like PART-0001 to PART-0500, paste a list, or load a CSV with a text line for every label.

You get one print-ready PDF with every barcode at the true size, scan-tested before it is placed. Need QR codes on labels instead? Use the Bulk QR Code Generator.

How to Print Barcode Labels

  1. Pick the barcode type. Code 128 for stock, parts and asset tags; EAN-13 or UPC-A for products; ITF-14 for cartons.
  2. Add your codes. Open Many barcodes at once and fill a numbered series, paste a list, or load a CSV with content and label columns.
  3. Choose the label sheet. In Download settings the Labels page is already picked - choose your Avery template, the text for each label and how many labels are already used.
  4. Print a test, then the real thing. Download the PDF, print one page on plain paper with outlines on, hold it against a label sheet, then print at 100%.

Need to check the numbers before printing? Paste them into the Check Digit Calculator. After printing, read a sheet back with the Barcode Scanner - it reads every barcode in one photo.

What People Print

Stock and bin locations

A Code 128 series like A-01-01 to A-20-10 on L7163 labels for shelves and bins.

Product labels

EAN-13 or UPC barcodes with the product name and price on each label, from a CSV.

Amazon FNSKU

X00... codes are Code 128 - print them 30 to a page on Avery 5160 or L7160 sheets.

Asset tags

Numbered tags for laptops, tools and furniture, with the company name above each barcode.

Keep the list in a spreadsheet? Check the columns first in the CSV File Viewer, then load the CSV here.

Printing Labels That Line Up

Print at 100%

Turn off Fit to page and Scale in the print dialog - otherwise every label drifts a little further down the sheet.

Test on plain paper

Switch on label outlines, print one page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet up to the light.

Use half-used sheets

Set Skip labels already used and printing starts on the first empty label.

Keep the bars big enough

Small labels squeeze the barcode. The sheet preview warns you when bars get too thin for a scanner.

Check that the printer is set to 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page, and that the paper size matches (A4 or Letter). Print a test page with outlines on plain paper first. If every label is off by the same amount, the printer itself shifts the page - most printers have a margin adjustment for that.
