How to resize an image for social media

  1. Add your image. Drop a photo, logo or screenshot into the box, paste it with Ctrl+V, or browse. JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and AVIF all work.
  2. Tick the sizes you need. Pick sizes from 40 presets for Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube and more, or add a custom size.
  3. Set the focal point. Drag the marker onto the subject or press Find subject, then check every crop in the live previews. Choose Fill, Blur fit or Colour fit.

Why a focal point beats centre cropping

A 3:1 header and a 9:16 story cut the same photo in very different places.

Centre cropping often slices off a head in banners or leaves a product out of stories. With a focal point every size is cut around the part that matters, and the live previews show the result before you download.

  • Faces: put the marker between the eyes.
  • Products: put it on the product, not the background.

Tips for sharp social images

  • Start big. A 3000 px photo can feed every size here without stretching.
  • Profile pictures are shown as circles on most platforms - keep the face in the middle.
  • Keep text away from edges. Apps overlay buttons on stories and banners.
