Vector or high-res image?
The Render setting decides how your artwork goes into the PDF.
Vector (default)
Paths, shapes and gradients become real PDF vector graphics. Sharp at any zoom, ready for print shops, and usually tiny.
High-res image
The SVG is drawn by your browser at 150-600 DPI and placed on the page. It keeps blur, shadows and custom fonts exactly, but it is no longer scalable.
Start with Vector. If the preview warns about filters or fonts, try High-res image and compare.
Page sizes and scaling
Exact size makes the page as big as the artwork - perfect for logos and illustrations you will place in other documents.
| Page | Millimetres | Inches | Good for |
| A4 | 210 × 297 | 8.27 × 11.69 | Printing anywhere outside North America |
| Letter | 215.9 × 279.4 | 8.5 × 11 | Printing in the US and Canada |
| A3 | 297 × 420 | 11.69 × 16.54 | Posters, diagrams, floor plans |
| A5 | 148 × 210 | 5.83 × 8.27 | Flyers, booklets, notes |
| Legal | 215.9 × 355.6 | 8.5 × 14 | Forms and contracts (US) |
| Tabloid | 279.4 × 431.8 | 11 × 17 | Large prints and charts (US) |
On a fixed page, Fit page scales the artwork up or down to fill the space inside the margins. Shrink only never enlarges small icons, and Actual size keeps the SVG's own dimensions.
Merge several SVGs into one PDF
Add all your files, open Output and choose One merged PDF.
Every SVG becomes one page. Drag the thumbnails in the file strip to change the page order, and give the PDF a name before you convert.
With Exact size, each page keeps its own artwork size. Pick A4 or Letter for a document where every page is the same size.

Use SVG on websites and PDF when someone needs to print, sign or file it. For the web, an SVG can also become an icon with SVG to ICO.
