PDF to Excel Converter

Pull the tables out of any PDF - invoices, bank statements, price lists, reports - into an Excel workbook or CSV. Numbers become real numbers you can sum, and a live preview shows the rows and columns before you download. Everything runs in your browser, so your PDF is never uploaded. Need the text instead? Try PDF to Word.

How to convert a PDF to Excel

  1. Add your PDF. Drop one or more files on the page. Password-protected PDFs work too.
  2. Check the preview. It shows exactly which rows and columns will be exported. Limit the pages if you only need one table.
  3. Download. You get an XLSX workbook with one sheet per page, or CSV files. Three or more files come in a ZIP.

Built for bank statements and invoices

Most people convert PDFs to Excel to work with money: reconciling a bank statement, totalling invoices, or importing a price list. That is why this tool turns amounts into real numbers - including negative amounts in brackets like (120.50), percentages, and currency symbols - and understands both 1,234.56 and 1.234,56. Headers and page footers that repeat on every page are skipped, so a 12-page statement becomes one clean list you can sort and filter.

Account numbers and codes that start with a zero stay as text, so Excel does not strip the zeros. When you are done, you can turn the finished sheet back into a PDF with Excel to PDF, or check it in the Excel Viewer.

Private by design

Financial documents should not travel around the internet. This converter reads the PDF with your own browser, so the file is never uploaded to ConvertICO or anyone else. It works offline once the page has loaded. For other PDF jobs, see Merge PDF, Split PDF and PDF to JPG.

No. The PDF is read and converted entirely inside your browser, so bank statements, invoices, and reports never leave your computer. That also makes it fast - there is no upload or download wait.

Yes. With "Convert numbers" turned on, values like 1,234.56, (250.00), 12% and $99 are stored as real numbers, so SUM and other formulas work right away. Numbers with leading zeros, such as account or ZIP codes, are kept as text so the zeros are not lost.

Yes. The decimal setting detects the format automatically, or you can force a dot or a comma. European-style statements convert correctly.

A scanned PDF is just a picture of the page, so there is no text to extract. The preview tells you when a page has no text layer. Run the page through Image to Text first, or turn the pages into images with PDF to JPG.

Yes, if you know the password. The tool asks for it, and the password stays in your browser.

XLSX is a full Excel workbook - several sheets, column widths, number formats. CSV is plain text with one table per file; it is great for importing into accounting software or a database. You can open a CSV quickly in the CSV Viewer.
