How to make a photo collage

  1. Add your photos. Drop 2 to 9 photos into the box or paste them. HEIC photos from iPhones work too.
  2. Pick a grid layout. Layouts that match your number of photos are highlighted. The collage updates instantly.
  3. Arrange the photos. Drag inside a cell to move the photo, drag it onto another cell to swap, scroll or use the zoom slider to zoom in.
  4. Style and download. Set spacing, rounded corners, background and size - Instagram, Pinterest or A4 print - then download.

Grid layouts for every number of photos

Every layout keeps the gaps between photos exactly even, at any size.

  • 2 or 3 photos: side by side, stacked, or one large photo with smaller ones beside it.
  • 4 to 6 photos: classic 2 x 2 and 3 x 2 grids, plus layouts with one hero photo.
  • 7 to 9 photos: 3 x 3 grids and mixed rows for a magazine look.

Want each photo square for an Instagram profile grid instead? Make them one by one with the Instagram Post Resizer.

Tips for a great photo collage

  • Pick one hero photo and give it the biggest cell.
  • Mix close-ups and wide shots so the grid does not look repetitive.
  • Thin white gaps look clean on Instagram; no gaps suit a seamless story.
  • Printing? Start from full-size photos and choose PNG.
