The marked-up PDF puts every changed page of both versions side by side, with removed words in red and added words in green.
Compare two PDF files and see exactly what changed - added words in green, removed words in red, page by page. Pages that were inserted or deleted are matched up automatically, and a visual overlay catches changes in pictures and layout. Need to edit the new version? Open it in PDF to Word, or hide private details first with Redact PDF.

No files handy? Try two sample versions - a short contract where somebody quietly changed the price, dropped a page and added a new clause.
The two views catch different kinds of changes.
Reads the words of both versions and lines them up. Best for contracts, reports and papers - you see the exact words that were added or removed, even when the layout moved.
Draws both pages and compares them pixel by pixel. Best for logos, charts, signatures, stamps and scanned pages - anything that is a picture rather than text.
Comparing scans? Make them searchable first with OCR PDF to get a word-level diff too.
Sending the result to someone? Hide personal details first with Redact PDF, or browse either file in the PDF File Viewer.
Drop the older version in Original and the newer one in Changed, then press Compare. In a few seconds you see every added word in green and every removed word in red, page by page.
Use Next change to jump through the differences, or switch to Visual to see changes in pictures and layout.
The tool matches pages by their text, not just by page number. If a new page 3 was slipped in, it is shown as an added page and the old page 3 is still compared with the new page 4.
The summary at the top counts added, removed and changed pages, plus the words added and removed.
Yes - open the Visual tab. It draws both versions of a page on top of each other and paints every pixel that differs in red. Overlay and swipe modes let you slide between the two, and the sensitivity setting hides tiny rendering noise.
Scans have no real text, so the word comparison has nothing to read. The visual comparison still works on scans. For a word-by-word diff, turn both scans into searchable PDFs first with OCR PDF, then compare those.
Yes. Download an HTML report that opens in any browser, a plain TXT report for email or tickets, or a marked-up PDF that puts each changed page of both versions side by side with the changes highlighted.
No. Both files are opened and compared inside your browser, so contracts and other private documents never leave your device. That also means large files compare quickly - there is no upload to wait for.
Turn the Word file into a PDF first with Word to PDF, then compare the two PDFs here. Going the other way, PDF to Word gives you an editable copy of either version.
PDFs with an open password cannot be read without it. Remove the password with Unlock PDF (you need to know it), then compare the unlocked copy.
