Got .001, .002, .003 files? Drop all the parts and get the original file back - sorted, checked for gaps and verified with SHA-256. Joined a .zip or .7z? Unpack it in the Archive Extractor. Need to cut a file yourself? Use the File Splitter.

Need to send a big file yourself? The File Splitter cuts it into parts that fit email, Discord or a FAT32 stick.
Parts are sorted by number, not by how you picked them - .010 comes after .009.
Missing, doubled and cut-off parts are flagged before a broken file is made.
Add SHA256SUMS.txt and every part plus the result is checked.
The joined file is recognised by its first bytes - ZIP, 7Z, ISO, MP4, PDF and more.
Parts are joined by reference, so even 20 GB is no strain on memory.
Everything happens in your browser - the parts are never uploaded.
Plain splits are joined here; archive volumes are opened by an archiver instead.
| Part names | Made by | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| .001, .002, .003 | 7-Zip, HJSplit, Total Commander, File Splitter | Join here |
| .part1.mp4, .part2.mp4 | File splitters, upload sites | Join here |
| .mkv.part01, .mkv.part02 | File hosts, download managers | Join here |
| .aa, .ab, .ac | Linux and Mac split | Join here |
| .z01, .z02 + .zip | WinZip, 7-Zip (spanned ZIP) | Open all parts in the Archive Extractor |
| .part1.rar, .r00 | WinRAR volumes | Open part 1 in WinRAR or 7-Zip with all parts in one folder |
The joined file is exactly the file that was split.
An archive such as .zip, .7z or .rar opens in the Archive Extractor, or browse it first in the 7Z File Viewer or ZIP File Viewer. Disc images open in the ISO File Viewer.
ZIP still will not open after joining? A part was probably damaged on the way - try ZIP Repair, or ask the sender for the SHA-256 and compare it in the Checksum Calculator.
A .001 file is the first piece of a bigger file that was cut into parts - by 7-Zip, HJSplit, Total Commander or a file splitter. The next pieces are .002, .003 and so on.
On its own a part is not a usable file. All parts joined in order give back the original, for example movie.mkv or backup.zip.
Join them first: drop all the parts on this page and press Join. You get the original file - the name before .001 tells you what it is.
If it is an archive such as file.zip.001 or file.7z.001, open the joined file in the Archive Extractor to get the files inside.
Select all of them together - Ctrl+A in the file picker works - and drop them here. The parts are put in the right order automatically, whatever order you selected them in.
Press Join and save the result.
A gap in the numbers (say .001, .002, .004) is reported and joining is blocked, because the result would be broken.
Parts that are smaller than the others, except the last, are flagged as possibly cut-off downloads. With a SHA256SUMS file every part is checked, so the exact damaged part is named.
No. .z01, .z02 plus .zip is a spanned ZIP made by WinZip or 7-Zip, and .part1.rar or .r00 are RAR volumes made by WinRAR.
They are not plain slices, so they are opened as an archive instead of joined: spanned ZIPs work in the Archive Extractor, RAR volumes in WinRAR or 7-Zip with all parts in one folder.
Drop the SHA256SUMS.txt or .sha256 file together with the parts and the joined file is verified automatically.
No checksum file? Compare the SHA-256 with the one the sender gives you - the Check SHA-256 button opens the joined file in the Checksum Calculator.
Yes, and no. The parts are joined by reference inside your browser, so nothing is copied in memory and nothing is uploaded.
For very big results pick Into a folder in Chrome or Edge - the file is written straight to your disk. The disk you save to must not be FAT32, which cannot hold files of 4 GB or more.
On Windows open Command Prompt in the folder and run copy /b file.zip.001+file.zip.002+file.zip.003 file.zip. On Mac or Linux run cat file.zip.0* > file.zip in Terminal.
Parts made with our File Splitter also come with ready-made join.bat and join.sh scripts. Still having trouble? Please contact us and we'll be happy to help!
